Lens station synchronizes with the new Louvre, designed by Saana (Japan) and under construction 1 km away : a sandstone square settles in front of the remarkable Art Deco station. Steel corten lines embedded in the ground, and oblique hemmed flower pots of the same metal, compose a resolutely contemporary landscape - as an announcement of the museum which will soon propel the old mining basin into the new millenium…
