Between the Vélizy plateau and Viroflay Station, at the edge of the Meudon wood, the tramway dives into the valley and disappears into a tunnel… A forest section, exceptional within the agglomeration, carefully worked levels where drainage towards the valley rather than the tunnel was an issue! Cleared for the construction site and in accordance with its management plan, equipped with ponds and cofferdams to ensure infiltration of rainwater then replanted with oaks and chestnut trees typical of the area.
