The central elevated pedestrian area of Cergy is now very old; today, the expansion of the 3 Fontaines shopping centre is driving its redevelopment.
As proposed by François Leclerc, it is first through a strong relation with the large territory that the pedestrian area will take on better meaning. A clear concrete carpet, planted with species reminiscent of a forest scale, will highlight the brick buildings and designate the major route, from the prefecture park to the banks of the highway.
Secondary places receive a generous planting arrangement, in islands or in planters, which create new places of leisure and conviviality.
