The Fontette palace faces the town hall of Caen: a powerful neoclassical building built as a courthouse in 1781, it was enlarged several times in the 19th century, then lost all function in 2015. Winning proposal for the call for projects to which we participated: set up a 4-star boutique hotel in the historic building - the interior courtyard will become a lobby, and the majestic pediment will house a contemporary restaurant-brewery - and replace the late 20th century wing with a glass and metal convention center.
