Strongly urbanized, the north and west of Réunion are separated by 11km of cliffs difficult to pass. The tram-train will reliably link these two districts and ensure each will have a quality urban service. Preliminary studies and schematic design established the “tram-train” concept, identified the best track layout through the pedestrian areas of Saint-Denis and the Port whilst the PPI proposal enabled the image of the project to be developed.
