Le Havre continues to redevelop the old docks in its immense port, transforming the old coffee warehouses into a convention centre. The three long halls become a naturally lit exhibition space while a new golden-clad volume breaks its long ridge to incorporate a 2100-seat auditorium and a 350-seat amphitheatre with panoramic view over the dock. The convention centre stands calmly in complete compliance with the Le Havre port planning values.
