Inaugurated with popular celebration in November 2007, the tramway transformed the city of Le Mans. The 15 km line of redeveloped streetscapes unroll a green carpet on the outskirts and generous granite and exposed ochre concrete surfaces within the city centre. With its complex transport system and fragmented geography, it creates the continuity that lacked in the legibility of the city.
